He is recovering well now...but you know he is struggling with the no smoking thing...a whole other issue...but anyways...He had jury duty the next week and couldn't drive so he had my Mother drive him. While he was waiting they was talking to some women in the lobby. My Mom decided to tell the women that my Dad had surgery on his OVARIES...the ladies were like huh?!?
Just imagine my Dad's face...the ladies excused themselves and my Dad yelled "NOoooo...not ovaries....she meant Arteries...I'm not a hermaphrodite!"
My Mom said " Well who cares,no difference right?" My Dad is such a man's man...and I would have killed to see the look on those womens faces and my Dad's hahahahaha!
* OKAY.....SO I CHECKED ANOTHER THING OFF MY LIST... *
I went to a different city! Woo hoo! CHICAGO! I had sooo much fun! I was exhausted but had a blast! The plane ride there though was kinda gross...there was blood on the back of the seat in front of me?!? GROSS! GO DELTA! So I was regretting the fact that i did not bring gloves and antibacterial wipes...bleck!
So moving on...

DAY ONE IN CHICAGO
Shawn & I checked into our hotel...THE HARD ROCK!

After check-in...Shawn and I caught the subway...and went to the Cubs game. Sooo much fun...well all except the scalper who wanted to beat me up...LONG STORY will tell more later...we went to Harry Carray's tavern, where we absorbed some of the nostalgia of Chicago and The Cubs...

At the game,we met two guys named Manny & Pauly (sounds more like like NY Yankees fans) right? Wrong...Difference...they were actually cool! Haha! They were spilling beer, we were eating peanuts, hotdogs,etc...having the time of our lives...The Cubs lost but oh who cares it's not my team anyway...FUN TIMES!
DAY TWO IN CHICAGO This day was a little more adventurous. I had the whole city to myself...which was kinda cool actually. I explored MICHIGAN AVENUE- The Magnificent Mile....
I ventured down into a little shopping plaza where they had a LEGO STORE and was amazed at how much better the one here in Chicago was than the one in Raleigh.
This store was awesome! Lots of Legos and truly a kids dream! The people there were soooo helpful! I did find a great game for Colby there that is not available in Raleigh just yet....sooo cool! So as I am walking downstairs to the bottom floor of this mini-mall...what is it that my eyes see?!? A SWATCH STORE?!? What! I am a total product of the 80's and love to relive my childhood memories...I have been stalking e-bay for a long time for just the right Swatch and nothing for years!!!
OOhhhhhhh...I was like a kid in the candy store! Swatches....still very inexpensive and just as I remember them! Ahhhhh...I was in heaven...I bought myself a swatch :) I was a very hapy girl! I choose the BOUQUET D'AMOUR....I love it!

So I have lots more to tell you about Chicago but I have to get ready for work! Talk soon...Love ya mean it!
